The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing behavior intervention plans for learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Utilizing evidence-based practices, the BCBA conducts assessments, analyzes behavior data, and collaborates with families, educators, and other stakeholders to promote meaningful behavioral change and skill development. The BCBA also provides supervision, guidance, and mentorship to the Registered Behavior Technician. The role requires strong analytical skills, ethical standards, and a commitment to improving learners’ quality of life through personalized, effective behavioral strategies
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Program Development
? Conduct relevant behavior-analytic assessments, including functional behavior assessments (FBAs), Interview-Informed Synthesized Contingency Analyses (IISCAs), skills assessments, preference assessments, and other assessments within the BCBA's scope of competence.
? Develop individualized, data-informed treatment plans based on assessment results, learner needs, and established clinical goals.
? Design, implement, and oversee evidence-based ABA interventions within the BCBA's scope of competence.
? Develop and oversee transition, maintenance, generalization, and discharge plans as clinically appropriate.
Data Collection, Analysis, and Clinical Decision-Making
? Oversee the collection, graphing, analysis, and review of client data to evaluate treatment effectiveness and progress toward treatment goals.
? Evaluate and document client progress toward treatment goals and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders.
? Modify treatment protocols and treatment plans based on ongoing data analysis and clinical outcomes.
? Monitor treatment integrity and implement corrective action when treatment protocols are not implemented as designed.
Supervision and Staff Development
? Supervise and oversee the implementation of behavior-analytic treatment by RBTs, BCaBAs, and other authorized treatment providers.
? Conduct regular observations of treatment implementation and evaluate staff performance and competency.
? Provide training, performance feedback, coaching, and competency-based support to treatment staff.
? Ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols through direct observation, treatment-integrity measures, and performance feedback.
? Maintain required documentation related to supervision in accordance with applicable BACB, state, payer, and organizational requirements.
Caregiver and Interdisciplinary Collaboration
? Train and consult with caregivers and other professionals regarding behavior-analytic interventions and strategies.
? Provide caregiver guidance to promote skill acquisition, behavior reduction, generalization, maintenance, and caregiver independence.
? Communicate regularly with caregivers and relevant members of the treatment team regarding treatment progress, clinical recommendations, and concerns.
Risk, Safety, and Crisis Management
? Ensure treatment is implemented in accordance with applicable risk-management, safety, and crisis-management protocols.
? Monitor client and staff safety during treatment and modify clinical procedures when necessary to address identified risks.
? Ensure that staff are trained and competent in applicable crisis-prevention and response procedures.
Clinical Documentation and Compliance
? Document the provision of behavior-analytic services accurately, timely, and in accordance with applicable regulatory, payer, organizational, and ethical requirements.
? Maintain clinical documentation supporting assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation, progress monitoring, supervision, caregiver training, and transition/discharge planning.
? Practice in accordance with the BACB Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts and applicable state laws, regulations, and professional requirements.
? Practice only within areas of demonstrated professional competence and utilize empirically supported practices consistent with the BCBA's scope of competence
Clinical Leadership and Organizational Culture
Serve as a clinical leader within the assigned clinic, taking ownership of the quality, consistency, culture, and effectiveness of clinical services; model organizational values and professional standards; foster collaboration and staff development; and proactively identify and address opportunities to improve learner outcomes, staff performance, caregiver experience, team functioning, and overall clinic operations
Qualifications:
? Board Certified Behavior Analyst active certification
? Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
? Proficiency in Google Office Suite and office management systems.
? Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
? Completion of 8 hour supervision training program
? Must be eligible to work in the US
? Must possess current/valid Drivers’ license
Physical Requirements:
? Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull treatment materials and equipment as required by the position.
? Ability to operate standard office and clinical equipment, including computers, tablets, and other electronic devices.
Ability to tolerate exposure to typical clinic environments, including variable noise levels, movement, and sensory stimulation
