Job Description
Camp For All Adventure Program Staff carry out the Camp For All mission by encouraging campers to try new things, think outside of the box, and offer them a sense of freedom. The Summer 2027 season begins with an in-depth training to equip Adventure Program Staff to facilitate traditional camp activities in an inclusive, barrier-free way. Activities include climbing, zip line, giant swing, horseback riding, barnyard/nature, target sports, photography, epic evening programs and aquatics. From May 2026 to August 2026 the Adventure Program Staff holds the primary responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of activities and programs. They are expected to help create and maintain a professional environment where the Camp For All mission is carried out through high-quality programs.
List of Essential Duties
- Obtains or successfully completes required lifeguard and/or high ropes training (before camp or during staff training)
- Participates fully in lifeguard and/or high ropes in-service trainings throughout the summer season
- Participates in staff orientation and training for Camp For All programs
- Obtains required First Aid & CPR training
- Exhibits the ability to manage an assigned program activity, including planning and adapting the activity to the camper’s needs
- Work with Program Supervisors to maintain and upkeep program activity areas
- Demonstrates the desire to learn, understand and adapt to the needs of the individual camper
- Follows all safety standards set by Camp For All and the Program Manager in accordance with Texas Department of Health and American Camping Association
- Immediately corrects any safety infractions and/or reports such to supervisor
- Displays the ability and desire to work as a team with other members of the program department as well as other Camp For All staff
- Manages free time in a responsible manner to be fully prepared for each Partner group
- Follows a variety of instructions, procedure manuals and safety rules
- Maintains flexible work schedule with the ability to work extended hours as needed
Location
Camp For All operates two facilities in Burton and Chappell Hill, Texas. The Summer Program Staff position is based at both locations. Your location placement will be determined in April 2027, following the extension and acceptance of an offer.

Reports to
The Program Staff report directly to the Program Manager.

This is a seasonal, non-exempt role.
Benefits
Pay starts at $350 per week worked, including staff training. Additional compensation of $15 per week is available for staff who obtain a lifeguard certification and an additional $15 per week for staff that complete the high ropes training. Shared housing is provided and maintained by Camp For All. Meals are included when groups are on site.
Educational Credits
Internship credit or hours are available for many degree programs including but not limited to: Child Life Specialist, Recreation Management, Therapeutic Recreation, PRTM, and Youth Leadership & Development. Contact the Program Manager to see if we are able to support your internship requirements.
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience in leadership and/or volunteer roles
- Desire to work with the special needs population
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to move equipment and/or objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, or more than 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Must be able to communicate effectively with campers, staff and volunteers to ensure immediate response to safety issues
- Must be able to travel between activity areas across camp property in a timely manner sufficient to maintain supervision and safety coverage of assigned activities, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to live independently and self-sufficiently in the provided housing
- Must be able to climb up to 70 feet using a rock wall surface and/or staple climb and be comfortable working at height
- Must be able to perform swimming skills required to pass the American Red Cross Shallow Water Lifeguard course (including but not limited to distance swim, searching underwater without goggles, treading water, and swimming with a weight of at least 10lbs.).
