Job Description
- Navigate hospital systems remotely to investigate account status
- Request and obtain eligibility documentation of patient's coverage via web, phone calls or written requests
- Update accounts to appropriate status based on information found in the hospital system and account protocols
Required Education: High School Diploma
Preferred Experience: Medical office experience in registration and/or patient account systems.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Understanding of medical insurance payers
- Understanding of medical billing rules and practices
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment balancing speed and accuracy
Required Qualification
Ability to obtain a professional certification, such as CRCS-I or CPAR during first year of employment (study materials and test provided)
