Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast is looking for dependable, positive people to join our Paso Robles team as Youth Program Leaders.
Our official job title is Youth Development Professional, but you don't need to be planning a career working with children to succeed in this role.
What matters most is that you enjoy being around people, are willing to jump in and help, can be a positive role model, and want to contribute to your community.
Pay
$18.50–$21.50 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and the needs of the position.
What Does the Job Look Like?
Our Youth Program Leaders help create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for groups of up to 20 children at a time after school.
Depending on the day, you might:
- Lead games, sports, art, STEM, or group activities
- Help students with homework
- Play a board game or shoot hoops with Club members
- Help organize an activity or special event
- Encourage kids to try something new
- Help young people solve problems and work together
- Support your coworkers in keeping programs organized and running smoothly
- Be the positive adult who notices when a child needs encouragement
You don't need to know how to do all of these things on your first day. We'll help you learn.
