How You Will Make an Impact

· Mentor and develop technical staff across all levels of the Roofing Department.

· Assist Project Managers in developing the technical capabilities of project teams.

· Support onboarding and training of new employees.

· Participate in internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, training programs, and technical presentations.

· Promote professional growth through mentorship related to technical expertise, certifications, project execution, and client service.

· Encourage consistent application of company standards, procedures, and quality expectations.

· Serve as a primary internal resource for technical guidance and problem-solving.

· Provide input regarding staff development, advancement, and technical competency evaluation.

· Support Project Managers in coordinating technical workflow and project execution.

· Review scopes of work, proposals, budgets, schedules, and project deliverables.

· Assist project teams in identifying and mitigating project risks.

· Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews on project deliverables.

· Support effective resource utilization through technical guidance and planning assistance.

· Assist with troubleshooting project challenges and developing practical solutions.

· Provide continuity of project leadership and technical oversight when necessary.

· Contribute to successful project execution while maintaining NTH quality standards. 

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, Building Science, or a related field. 

· The successful candidate must possess one of the following professional credentials:

          o Professional Engineer (PE)

          o Registered Architect (RA) 

          o Registered Roof Consultant (RRC)

· Preferred certifications include:

          o Registered Roof Observer (RRO)

          o Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC)

          o Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC)

          o Construction Documents Technologist (CDT)

          o Project Management Professional (PMP)

          o Additional industry-recognized roofing, building enclosure, or construction certifications

· Minimum fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible experience in roofing and building enclosure consulting, architecture, engineering, construction, or related professional services.

· Demonstrated experience managing projects through the complete project lifecycle including investigation, assessment, design, bidding, construction administration, project closeout, and long-term client service.

· Demonstrated experience leading complex roofing and building enclosure consulting assignments.

· Extensive knowledge of roofing systems, waterproofing systems, building enclosure assemblies, testing methodologies, construction practices, and/or applicable industry standards. 

· Demonstrated experience developing technical solutions for complex building enclosure issues.  

· Proven history of mentoring technical staff and supporting professional development initiatives. 

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to effectively communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.

· Strong organizational and time management abilities.

· Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously.

· Willingness and ability to conduct field investigations and construction observations.

· Ability to safely access roofs, climb ladders, and work at heights.

· Ability to work in varying weather conditions and active construction environments.

· Must hold a valid driver's license. 

· Willingness to travel throughout Michigan and occasionally to regional project locations as required.
