School-Based Outpatient Therapist- Townsend
Description

Shodair Children's Hospital is seeking a School-Based Outpatient Therapist to provide behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families within partner school districts throughout the greater Helena area, including Townsend. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering therapy services directly within schools while working toward independent clinical licensure.


What You'll Do

  • Provide mental health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Deliver individual, family, group, and crisis counseling services.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and community partners.
  • Develop behavior and safety plans and coordinate referrals and discharge planning.
  • Maintain timely clinical documentation and treatment records.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, and the outpatient on-call rotation.
  • Provide education and consultation to school personnel and families.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current Montana candidate license (PCLC, SWLC, or equivalent).
  • Eligible for Montana licensure as an LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist and actively working toward full licensure.
  • Experience providing individual, family, or group therapy.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly to partner schools within the Helena region.
