Overview
The Account Executive owns the day-to-day client relationship and is responsible for the overall success of the partnership. This role bridges strategy and execution, ensuring work is aligned to client goals, projects are executed effectively, and opportunities for growth are identified and acted on.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the client relationship, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted partner
- Take responsibility for the success of client engagements, ensuring work delivers against business goals
- Develop a strong understanding of each client’s business, industry, customers, competitive landscape, and priorities to inform recommendations and decision-making
- Lead day-to-day client communication, providing clear direction, updates, and recommendations
- Proactively bring forward strategic recommendations, ideas, and solutions based on client goals, performance, market opportunities, and emerging needs
- Manage project timelines, scopes, and deliverables across multiple accounts
- Translate client needs and objectives into clear direction for internal teams, ensuring they understand the priorities, expectations, and definition of success
- Write clear, well-structured creative briefs that translate client objectives into actionable direction for internal teams
- Lead client meetings, set agendas, and ensure follow-ups and action items are completed
- Ensure all work aligns with client objectives, brand standards, and strategic priorities
- Own and manage account budgets, including scopes, estimates, invoicing, and overall financial performance
- Analyze campaign and performance data to identify key insights, explain what the results mean for the client’s business, and provide clear recommendations for what to do next
- Identify risks, challenges, and opportunities, and proactively address them
- Contribute to and support account growth by identifying new opportunities within existing clients
- Review and approve deliverables before they are shared with clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field
- Agency experience preferred
- Agriculture experience preferred
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to connect execution to broader business goals
- Proactive problem solver who takes initiative, seeks answers, and moves work forward without requiring step-by-step direction
- Curiosity and willingness to continuously build knowledge of clients, industries, marketing channels, and best practices
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools
