Description


The Senior Manager, Product Delivery is responsible for leading delivery execution and operating coordination for an assigned market-driven product vertical. This role helps translate product strategy, customer needs, roadmap priorities, and business objectives into coordinated execution across product, engineering, quality, release, and go-to-market partners. The position drives measurable progress against product delivery, customer adoption, product quality, team effectiveness, and business outcome goals while working in partnership with IT&E leadership on staffing, budget, investment, and prioritization decisions. 


The Senior Manager, Product Delivery leads and coordinates a cross-functional product vertical that may include Product Management, Product Ownership, Design, Software Engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), and related internal, offshore, or external partners. This position manages execution performance for the vertical, including roadmap delivery, release readiness, product quality, customer adoption support, resource planning inputs, delivery risks, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement. 


This role requires a strong balance of product delivery leadership, software delivery experience, financial awareness, people leadership, technical understanding, and stakeholder communication. The Product Delivery Senior Manager works across Product, Engineering, UX, QA, Support, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Release & Enablement, Enterprise Execution & Intelligence, and senior leadership to keep the vertical aligned to customer value, delivery priorities, and company strategy. 


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead delivery execution and operating coordination for an assigned product vertical, ensuring roadmap priorities, product quality, delivery commitments, adoption support, team effectiveness, and business outcome goals remain aligned with company objectives. 
  • Translate product strategy, customer needs, market insights, roadmap priorities, and business objectives into coordinated delivery plans, execution priorities, resource inputs, and measurable progress indicators. 
  • Lead and develop a cross-functional vertical team that may include Product Management, Product Ownership, Design, Software Engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), and related internal, offshore, or external partners. 
  • Partner with Product Managers to convert customer discovery, market intelligence, competitive insights, product analytics, support trends, and business priorities into actionable roadmaps, delivery plans, business cases, and measurable outcomes. 
  • Partner with Principal Engineers and technical leaders to support technical integrity, architectural consistency, code quality, reliability, scalability, engineering standards, and responsible technical debt management. 
  • Support annual and quarterly operating planning for the vertical, including product priorities, staffing inputs, capacity planning, budget inputs, technical investment needs, quality improvement, risk management, and major delivery commitments. 
  • Manage and support vertical budget planning, forecasting inputs, labor and contractor planning, vendor or tooling spend recommendations, business case development, ROI analysis, and investment prioritization in partnership with organizational leadership. 
  • Drive accountability across the vertical by connecting individual, team, and cross-functional performance to customer value, product quality, operational excellence, financial discipline, technical sustainability, and business results. 
  • Lead cross-functional prioritization and tradeoff discussions across market demand, customer impact, delivery capacity, technical debt, product quality, financial return, operational risk, staffing needs, and strategic value. 
  • Prepare and facilitate product vertical operating reviews in partnership with organizational leadership, and collaborate across Customer Success, Support, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Release & Enablement, Enterprise Execution & Intelligence, and senior stakeholders to support successful launches, adoption, communication, and continuous improvement. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Product Management, Management Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience required. 
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in software product delivery, software engineering leadership, product management, product operations, program management, SaaS product leadership, or related technology discipline required. 
  • 5+ years of direct people leadership experience managing software, product, engineering, delivery, quality assurance, or technology teams required. 
  • Experience leading product or technology delivery teams with responsibility for execution planning, team performance, staffing inputs, delivery quality, customer value, and measurable business outcome support required. 
  • Demonstrated success supporting software products, platforms, or product domains from planning through launch, adoption measurement, and continuous improvement in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid SDLC environments required. 
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience supporting roadmap planning, capacity planning, delivery risk management, dependency management, business cases, ROI analysis, budget inputs, forecasting, and investment prioritization required. 
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices, Agile delivery methods, product discovery, product delivery, technical debt management, architecture partnership, quality management, release readiness, adoption measurement, and post-release performance required. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, facilitation, conflict resolution, senior stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills required. 
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
