Job Title: Warehouse Operator II
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Operator II is an experienced warehouse position responsible for independently performing multiple warehouse functions with limited supervision. Employees at this level are cross-trained in several areas of warehouse operations and demonstrate increased proficiency with the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This position may rotate between functions based on daily staffing and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Independently perform multiple warehouse functions, including a combination of picking, packing, replenishment, receiving, shipping preparation, inventory movement, labeling, and order staging.
• Accurately pick, pack, receive, replenish, stage, and move inventory according to company procedures.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments as assigned.
• Identify inventory shortages, overages, incorrect locations, damaged product, and other discrepancies.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory verification, and routine inventory research.
• Use handheld scanners, computers, printers, stock picker certified, pallet jacks, forklifts, work at elevated heights and other assigned warehouse equipment safely.
• Maintain required productivity, quality, and accuracy expectations across assigned areas.
• Assist with training or supporting Warehouse Operator I employees when requested.
• Move between warehouse functions based on operational needs and assist with other duties or special projects as assigned.
Warehouse Management System (WMS) Responsibilities:
• Navigate multiple operational functions within the WMS.
• Complete picking, packing, receiving, replenishment, inventory movement, and other assigned WMS transactions.
• Perform inventory and location lookups and complete product or location transfers when authorized.
• Identify and research basic WMS or inventory discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues.
• Correct routine transaction errors when authorized and properly complete or close system-directed tasks.
• Understand how WMS transactions in one warehouse area affect inventory and downstream operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse experience or demonstrated proficiency as a Warehouse Operator I.
- Ability to independently perform multiple warehouse functions.
- Working proficiency with handheld scanners and the WMS.
- Ability to identify and resolve routine warehouse issues and prioritize work based on operational needs.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Stock picker experience required for duties involving stock picker operation; certification preferred or ability to become certified.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to operate and use a pallet jack/electric pallet jack, forklift and work at elevated heights.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the day.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
- Must be comfortable operating warehouse equipment, including stock pickers, when trained and authorized.
Work Environment:
This position works in a warehouse setting and may be exposed to varying temperatures, moving equipment, and moderate noise levels.
