Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures and implement the mission of summer camps. To provide the physical, emotional, and spiritual care for campers assigned to you.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and model a vital personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Perform weekend Ranch responsibilities
  • Implement daily herd management
  • Maintain and upkeep of ranch equipment, sites, and grounds
  • Help implement Ranch programming
  • Assist Riding Instructors when necessary
  • Assist with Ranch Hands when necessary
  • Assist with meals when necessary
  • Implement and support trail ride, pony ride, and wagon ride activities
  • Help implement Ranch camp closing showcase
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help run Ranch camp, guest group, and Community Worship programs with excellence
  • Complete the course of study during orientation and follow all camp policies
  • Become familiar with the camp staff, facilities and grounds
  • Keep spiritually and physically prepared to minister
  • Care for the well-being of the campers and guests ahead of your own personal desires
  • Assist in Ranch-related program activities
  • Attend all ranch camp activities, meals, and staff meetings. 
  • Fill out all paperwork and turn it in before you are dismissed at the end of the week
  • Assist with housekeeping: cleaning showers, bunkhouses, bathrooms, and buildings to meet standards of excellence

POSITION TYPE: Seasonal

HOUSING: Provided throughout contract dates

MEALS: Provided throughout contract dates whenever campers or guests are being served

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Knowledge of and love for God’s Word
  • Love for kids and adults and ability to communicate with them
  • Good health and stamina as required to implement a summer camp program. This will involve long hours, sleeping in bunkhouses with campers and lifting at times. Ability to work in various weather climates and conditions.
  • Experience in teaching kids
  • Willingness to participate in camp activities
  • Minimum age 17 years old and out of High School
  • Education required: High School Degree or equivalent
  • Should be an experienced rider (equivalent to CHA level 2).
  • Must be able to handle both kids and horses in a safe, fun, and educational way.
