Position Overview
The Director, Install Analysts - Revenue Cycle is a key leader within OCHIN responsible for the strategy, operations, and performance of Epic installation analyst teams supporting the Revenue Cycle portfolio, including Patient Access and Billing.
The Director is a key enterprise leader accountable for delivering exceptional implementation outcomes defined by member KPIs through disciplined, process-driven execution, high-quality build, and strong cross-functional alignment. This role leads the technical teams responsible for Epic system build, configuration, and testing, ensuring each implementation is tailored to member needs while maintaining a high bar for quality, readiness, and performance. The role directs implementation planning, configuration, testing, deployment, go-live support, and stabilization for assigned applications and workflows spanning registration, scheduling, access, hospital and professional billing, claims, and related financial operations.
The Director ensures full organizational readiness at go-live, including trained and confident end users, and drives rapid, stable transitions to steady-state operations with minimal disruption. Success is measured not only by delivery timelines, but by sustained post-go-live performance across stability, usability, revenue integrity, and clinical workflows, as well as overall member satisfaction and service responsiveness.
Operating with systems thinking and agile principles, this leader creates a scalable, predictable delivery model while adapting to the unique complexity of each member environment. The role is defined by accountability to outcomes over activity, anchoring decisions in member impact and system performance, and maintaining an unwavering focus on quality, service excellence, and execution discipline.
The Director partners closely with Install PMO, Maintenance, Learning, Quality Assurance, Data Services, Clinical, and other leaders to deliver coordinated implementations that improve access, financial performance, operational efficiency, and member value.
Essential Duties
Responsible for communicating and driving implementation of OCHIN’s Epic installation strategy for the assigned application portfolio.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the work of installation analyst teams through subordinate leaders and staff in support of organizational strategy and day-to-day operational needs.
- Provide leadership and guidance across the organization regarding Epic implementation practices, application dependencies, and member readiness.
- Oversee staff development, performance, succession planning, and workforce capability for the assigned installation teams.
- Identify and manage portfolio priorities, connect work to outcomes, and track progress against organizational metrics, project commitments, and member outcomes.
- Provide portfolio leadership for Clinical, Lab, and Ancillary implementations, including applications and workflows such as EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, ASAP, Stork, OpTime, Beaker, Beacon, Radiant, Willow, and other assigned OCHIN clinical or ancillary applications.
- Ensure clinical, lab, and ancillary build decisions support safe, effective, and standardized ambulatory, inpatient, emergency, procedural, laboratory, imaging, oncology, and medication workflows.
- Coordinate cross-portfolio dependencies with Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, Billing, Data Services, interfaces, and third-party systems without assuming ownership of those separate portfolios.
- Partner with the Director, Install PMO to establish expected business results, scope, timelines, resource plans, risks, and deliverables for each installation project.
- Partner with Quality Assurance, Learning, Maintenance, Data Services, Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and other teams to ensure implementation plans and deliverables are coordinated, realistic, and actionable.
- Oversee application configuration, integration, testing, readiness, deployment, go-live support, and stabilization activities within the assigned portfolio.
- Direct implementation of standardized processes and continuous improvement initiatives that increase quality, consistency, efficiency, and member satisfaction.
- Ensure team processes are documented, understood, followed, and aligned with organizational policies, service expectations, and installation methodology.
- Use data and performance measures to monitor quality, productivity, schedule adherence, budget performance, risks, and stabilization outcomes.
- Promote exceptional service for internal and external customers and serve as an executive escalation point for complex portfolio-specific implementation issues.
- Foster a collaborative environment that keeps staff actively engaged in the installation process and appropriately leverages varied technical and operational expertise.
- Ensure information regarding decisions, outcomes, accomplishments, risks, and lessons learned is shared with relevant partners in a timely and effective manner.
- Analyze and provide consultation on change management, workflow transformation, adoption, and readiness strategies for members.
- Advocate for the best interests of the team, OCHIN members, and the organization as a whole.
- Ensure direct reports establish and track goals, meet regularly with leadership, and accurately record time in accordance with organizational processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent relevant combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, business, information systems, health informatics, or a related field is required; a master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in healthcare information technology, Epic operations, implementation, or a related field.
- Relevant Epic certification in one or more Revenue Cycle applications is preferred, such as Welcome, Prelude, Cadence, Grand Central, Resolute Professional Billing, Resolute Hospital Billing, or another assigned OCHIN application.
- Minimum of five (5) years of management experience or leadership experience within technical teams is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading complex Epic implementations and multidisciplinary teams through change.
- Ability to interpret performance measures, identify risks, and make data-informed operational and resource decisions.
- Strong relational leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and executive-level escalation management skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality and process improvement principles and strong systems-thinking capabilities.
- Ability to develop leaders, coach teams, build skills, and create accountability for results.

Work Location and Travel Requirements
OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home, and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

Base Pay Overview
OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.
