SUMMARY:
The Food & Beverage manager assists the Food & Beverage Operations Manager with coordination of all activities within a venue of the Food and Beverage Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee Venue F&B Supervisors.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of all employees engaged in providing meals and/or beverages in the venue.
- Assist Food and Beverage Operation Manager with Personnel Management, Training, Interviewing, Hiring and Personnel Evaluation.
- Review, compile, adjust and post personnel shift schedules weekly and as needed.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Assist Food and Beverage Operation Manager with analyzing information concerning venue operations, such as daily food sales, patron attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of the facility operations.
- Confer with administrative personnel and review activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping relating to personnel issues.
- Inspect and taste prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
- Promote Little Creek Casino Resort in industry and trade associations as requested.
- Monitor and audit the Agilysis cash systems and Paylocity.
- Promote positive customer relations.
- Resolve complaints made by patrons and/or employees regarding food and/or service.
- Promote positive staff support and morale by administering F&B Team Member input for growth, improvement and policy and procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments for special event needs relating to staffing for the Food & Beverage requirements, as needed.
- Ability to be a working manager and perform all front and back of the house duties within the food and beverage department as needed.

S.I.G.E. TRIBAL - STATE COMPACT & ACCOUNTING & INTERNAL CONTROL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for Internal Control and Compact compliance regarding Casino Operations and ensure compliance with regulations of the Tribal Gaming Commission.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages subordinate Supervisors and Managers who supervise employees in the Water’s Edge Cafe, Starlight Lounge, Island Grille Restaurant, Skookum Spirit lounge, Casino Bar, Squaxin Island Oyster Bar, Casino Service Bar, Kitchens and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality or related
- OR minimum of five years consistent and well-rounded Food & Beverage experience AND a minimum of five years management experience within the Food & Beverage industry
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Class III Gaming License issued from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission
- Requires a Valid Washington State Driver License and must be insurable on the Tribe’s insurance.
- Class 12 Alcohol Server Permit
- State of Washington Food Worker Card
