Ascentec Engineering is hiring an Assembly Supervisor for our Tualatin, Oregon headquarters. The selected candidate will be someone who has performed well, has shown the ability to be a positive example, has demonstrated leadership qualities, and has experience working with precision machined parts.
This position is on-site (not remote/not hybrid) and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
Position Requirements:
- Experience working with precision machined parts, assembly, cleaning, deburr, sanding, lapping, etc.
- Understanding of basic installation processes for hardware such as screws, washers, dowel pins, etc.
- Proficient at using both power and hand tools: Screwdrivers, wrenches, torque drivers, Drills, etc.
- Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs and manipulate them with care and precision.
- Fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, understand customer specifications, blueprints & drawings.
- Ability to support several improvement projects at one time.
- Ability to assign tasks, utilizing team strengths, to meet efficiency requirements.
- Ability to develop training programs and utilize team members to train to individual strengths.
- Reviews team members performance monthly and gives feedback both positive and negative.
- Directs team leads in loading and maintaining individual task lists and is prepared to report weekly on output.
- Computer experience required. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are plusses.
- Clean room assembly experience is a plus.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior machine shop experience.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supervisor will be responsible for directing all daily activities for the Dallas Ascentec assembly team.
- Maintains proper staffing levels as directed by management team?
- Develops and maintains efficient workflow through assembly area including all necessary production metrics.
- Orders and maintains appropriate levels of tooling and consumable goods necessary for the uninterrupted production of assemblies.
