TECHNICIAN, MAINTENANCE
Description

Summary & Objective

The Technician, Maintenance is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility grounds and equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems.

      

Mausoleum Operations

  •  Performs   mausoleum entombments and disentombments in accordance with established   procedures, including required location verification and completion of burial   documentation.
  • Maintains   working knowledge of mausoleum maps, crypts, niches, and burial locations and   installs or removes crypt plates, niche vases, emblems, and other memorial   components as needed.
  • Assists   families, customers, funeral homes, and other service providers with locating   crypts and niches, floral arrangements, and other mausoleum-related needs.
  • Provides   courteous assistance during mausoleum services, Masses, and other scheduled   events and refers questions or concerns requiring additional attention to the   appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintains   mausoleum areas in a clean, orderly, respectful, and presentable condition.

Facility Maintenance

  • Inspects mausoleum facilities        and identifies maintenance, repair, safety, cleanliness, and appearance        needs.
  • Performs preventative        maintenance on buildings, fixtures, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintains clean and        presentable mausoleum interiors, including floors, restrooms, entrances,        corridors, and common areas.
  • Removes trash, dead floral        arrangements, cobwebs, and other debris.
  • Maintains tools, equipment,        and maintenance areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Maintains adequate supplies        and materials needed for assigned maintenance work..

Supervisory Responsibility

  • May serve as an interim department leader depending on need

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stair or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods of time, etc.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently work in outside weather condition and is frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts

Requirements

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration is preferred
  • Must have knowledge of computer office/clinical software
  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
