Position Summary
FSM Group, LLC, an aviation fuel management company with operations across North America, has an immediate opening for a Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Manager at our Boston airport location.
The Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing ground service equipment maintenance operations, including safety, operational performance, budgeting, workforce management, and service delivery. This role coordinates with airport stakeholders, customers, and internal teams to promote safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance operations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee daily GSE maintenance operations, including personnel, equipment, scheduling, and administrative activities
- Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of ground support equipment and related systems
- Implement fleet management strategies, preventive maintenance programs, and operational process improvements
- Monitor equipment acquisition, maintenance, repairs, inventory, and disposal activities to optimize operational efficiency and cost control
- Manage operating budgets, monitor performance metrics, and prepare reports on operational results and variances
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Coordinate staffing levels and resource allocation to meet operational requirements and service expectations
- Promote a safe work environment by ensuring employees, contractors, and visitors follow established safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Coordinate with operations teams, customers, airport personnel, and vendors to maintain effective working relationships and achieve operational objectives
- Provide leadership, training, coaching, performance feedback, and employee development for maintenance personnel

Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with company standards
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to maintain reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as operational needs require
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and applicable background checks, including federal fingerprinting, in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Ability to access all areas of the airport necessary to perform job duties, including secured areas, in compliance with airport and federal regulations
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required government security clearance; employment is contingent upon successful completion of all applicable background checks and clearance requirements as determined by the contracting agency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance operations
- Experience working in airport, aviation, military, transportation, or industrial maintenance environments
- Experience with budgeting, operational planning, and process improvement initiatives
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams in a safety-focused or highly regulated environment
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices related to fueling operations
- Proven ability to lead, guide, and develop team members in a safety-focused operational environment
- Ability to apply organizational policies, procedures, and standards consistently while fostering a professional, respectful, and productive workplace
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and motivate team members and communicate professionally with customers, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and airport authorities
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance guidelines, and procedural manuals
- Ability to effectively communicate in English as required to perform job duties and help safe operations in the airport environment, including during emergencies or situations requiring a shared language for safety
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
- Proficiency with computer systems and common workplace software applications, including Microsoft Office applications, data entry and operational reporting systems
