Description

POSITION SUMMARY:


The Recovery Navigator delivers the project’s core engagement and retention intervention 

across the 120-day engagement period. As authorized clinical staff, the Recovery Navigator 

delivers Motivational Interviewing and Contingency Management, provides case management, 

and coordinates warm linkage to onsite FQHC and CCBHC services, under the clinical 

supervision of the Project Director.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:


  • Deliver Motivational Interviewing to support engagement and initiation of MOUD.
  • Deliver Contingency Management consistent with NOFO Appendix A safeguards, 
  • including non-cash incentives up to $25 per incentive and $75 per patient per year.
  • Provide case management and coordinate linkage to medical, behavioral health, and 
  • social support.
  • Track attendance, engagement, and progress toward treatment goals and MOUD 
  • adherence across the 120-day period.
  • Assist with practical barriers to care such as transportation and benefits or Medicaid 
  • enrollment.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and support 
  • quality improvement.
Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) required; CASAC-T considered.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in substance use disorder or behavioral health case management.
  • Training in Motivational Interviewing and Contingency Management (provided if not already held).
  • Knowledge of MOUD and recovery-oriented, person-centered systems of care.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; flexible schedule including early mornings and weekends.


JOB SETTING:


Office, mobile, and community-based setting.

Periodically functions within a thirty (30) foot motorized Mobile Medication Unit.

Field-based work in the community; flexible schedule including early mornings and weekends.
