Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk performs accounting support functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a related financial area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs basic accounting duties.
- Ensures data is entered accurately and processed in a timely manner.
- Invoice creation, ensuring the proper invoice terms, dates, and products.
- Distributes information to applicable managers and/or assistant controller in a timely manner.
- Invoice auditing and review, including invoices created by other team members.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workspace to manage paperwork.
- Support other members of the accounting department, including filing, scanning, and mailing.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED), required. Associates Degree preferred.
- Accounting experience and/or education preferred.
- High level of detail, multi-tasking, and problem solving.
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent sitting, use of computer, communication via telephone
- Ability to navigate an office environment.
- Regular and predictable attendance in office or site location.
