Description

McGill Hose & Coupling is a leading distributor of hydraulic and industrial hoses and a custom hose assembly shop. Family-owned since 1962, we have locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Our East Longmeadow facility is AS9100D certified. We are searching for the right candidate to fill our Production Support position. This position handles multiple tasks that support the production of hose assemblies fabricated in-house. This is an evolving role that may expand into other production support activities. Experience is preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate! 

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Labeling: Produce hose labels per customer print using existing files and label printer, and apply them to product.
  • Laser etching: Etch tags and ferrules per customer print or pick ticket data.
  • Shipment prep: Coil and wire-tie hose assemblies for customer shipment.
  • OEM assembly: Assist with OEM assembly.
  • Testing: Assist with product testing as needed.
  • Cycle counts: Count inventory during downtime to keep it accurate.
  • Inventory: Identify, verify and correct inventory, completing all paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Quality: Follow our AS9100D Quality Management System. 
  • Safety: Utilize required PPE, follow all safety procedures, and keep a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of warehouse, delivery or related experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to lift, carry and move materials of 50 lbs. or more
  • Ability to quickly learn warehouse operations, products and equipment
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management and the ability to multitask
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanically inclined a plus

Education

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical high school and/or college coursework a plus
