Jaxon is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Salary: $75,00-95,000 annually 


Schedule: Full-Time


Travel Requirement: While this role is primarily a position located in Colorado Springs, System Engineers should be prepared to travel as needed. Travel expenses are paid by the company.


Security Clearance Requirement: This role requires the ability and willingness to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance or higher.  An active DoD secret clearance is highly desired.

Primary Duties

  • Closely works with customers regarding project requirements, and tracks adherence through a project’s lifecycle.
  • Coordinates with internal, multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects are executed as planned.
  • Plans and executes multiple engineering projects with limited oversight and direction.
  • Provides succinct, accurate, and conforming deliverables to external stakeholders.
  • Generate and present a variety of technical documents (reports, presentations).
  • Aids in bidding and proposals.
  • Comply with ISO 9001:2015 based traceability and verification requirements.
  • Maintains documents-based system management. 


Requirements

Required Job Qualifications 

  • BS/MS degree with 3-6 years’ experience, preferably in engineering or related discipline.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to be coached and to learn new skills in a rapidly growing industry.
  • Possess strong personal and professional organization skills.
  • Demonstrated project development and leadership skills for planning and overseeing projects.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a dynamic team environment with both local and geographically dispersed team members with varying experience levels.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for coordination and reporting work.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.

Must have the ability or willingness to do the following: 

  • Obtain United States passport 
  • Use grinders, chop saws, drills, plasma cutters and both scissor lift & variable-reach forklifts 
  • Ability to bend over, kneel and crouch for long periods of time, & able to lift at least 50 lbs.
