 Job Summary 

  

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding the organization’s healthcare and medical services across multiple states. This role will develop and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, health systems, employers, referral sources, and other potential partners to identify new business opportunities and increase market presence. 


 Key Responsibilities/ Essential Duties and Responsibilities     

  • Develop   and execute multi-state business development strategies to achieve   organizational growth objectives.
  • Identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities across assigned markets and   states.
  • Prospect   and establish relationships with hospitals, health systems, physician groups, medical practices, employers, insurance organizations, healthcare networks, and other referral sources.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and strategic partners.
  • Conduct   market research to identify healthcare trends, competitive activity, service   gaps, and potential expansion opportunities.
  • Build   and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and healthcare   stakeholders.
  • Present   the organization’s medical services, capabilities, and value propositions to   prospective clients and partners.
  • Develop   customized proposals, presentations, and business development plans based on   client and market needs.
  • Coordinate   with clinical, operations, marketing, finance, and leadership teams to   develop solutions that support client and organizational needs.
  • Manage   the business development process from initial prospecting through   relationship development, proposal, negotiation, and implementation.
  • Travel   to meet with prospective clients, referral partners, healthcare   organizations, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Represent   the organization at healthcare conferences, networking events, community   events, and industry meetings.
  • Monitor   market and competitor activity and provide recommendations to leadership   regarding growth opportunities.
  • Track   business development activities, prospects, opportunities, and results   through the organization’s CRM or other reporting systems.
  • Prepare   regular pipeline, market activity, and business development reports for   leadership.
  • Maintain   strong relationships with existing partners to identify opportunities for   service expansion and increased utilization.
  • Collaborate   with leadership to identify opportunities for expansion into new geographic   markets.
  • Ensure   business development activities are conducted in accordance with applicable   healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Other   duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Requirements

 Skills & Qualifications   

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 5–10 years of progressive business development, sales, or strategic growth experience within healthcare or medical services.
  • Demonstrated experience with healthcare or medical services prospecting and relationship development.
  • Experience developing business opportunities across multiple states or geographic markets.
  • Proven ability to identify prospects, build relationships with decision-makers, and convert opportunities into business.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare organizations, referral networks, medical services, and healthcare market dynamics.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/business development tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within assigned markets and across multiple states as needed. 

 Travel 


 This position requires regular travel within assigned markets and may require multi-state travel to meet with prospective clients, healthcare organizations, strategic partners, and other stakeholders.
