Instrument Fitter/Mech Assy Tech
Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assembles components per bill of material requirements;
  • Assembly of hydraulic/pneumatic systems;
  • Perform functional testing on assemblies, per engineered drawings, test procedures and/or product line criteria;
  • Operate test equipment in compliance with engineering standards and workmanship standards;
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches and written instructions to assemble parts or products;
  • Maintenanace of machinery, equipment and good housekeeping in the work area;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Some technical training preferred;
  • 3-5 years of expereicne in hydraulics and mechanical assembly. 


Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Mechanical background and general knowledge in the use of basic hand and power tools, drill press and mill, tube bending equipment and hydraulic test equipment;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work on multifunction teams; 
  • Ability to balance customer demands against company constraints;  
  • Ability to operate a forklift and overhead cranes.

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be capable of lifting and moving material weighing up to thirty (30) pounds;
  • Physical requirements are those typically found in a office and fabrication / welding shop environment. 

Personal Protective Equipment: 

  • Safety glasses and other PPE as required to work in fabrication / welding shop and yard.
