What Success Looks Like
Successful Process Engineers make manufacturing processes easier to understand, control, and improve. You’ll know you’re succeeding when:
- Manufacturing documentation accurately reflects what happens on the production floor
- OPCs, BOMs, routings, and work instructions are accurate and usable
- Manufacturing processes consistently meet customer requirements
- Process capability and material yields improve
- Production problems are investigated and resolved instead of repeatedly worked around
- Quality issues and nonconforming material are addressed systematically
- Corrective actions address underlying causes
- New equipment, tooling, and processes transition successfully into production
- New products can be manufactured consistently and efficiently
- Manufacturing and Quality see Engineering as a practical partner in solving problems
- Customers receive knowledgeable technical support when process or material questions arise
Engineering That Happens on the Manufacturing Floor
This isn’t a role where process engineering happens entirely behind a computer. When a process isn’t performing as expected, you’ll work directly with the people running it. You’ll review the data, understand what is happening to the material, identify potential causes, and determine what needs to change.
That could mean modifying a process, improving tooling, revising manufacturing instructions, investigating a quality problem, evaluating new equipment, or determining why material yield isn’t where it should be. The goal is to understand the process well enough to make it more capable, consistent, and efficient.
Develop Expertise in Flat-Rolled Refractory Metals
Elmet specializes in high-performance materials including tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, and niobium. At Euclid, this role focuses specifically on the manufacturing processes associated with thin-gauge refractory metal sheet and foil.
That gives you the opportunity to deepen your expertise in flat rolling and advanced materials while building broader experience across process engineering, metallurgy, quality, equipment, tooling, and continuous improvement.
