The Training Academy for Addiction Professionals (TAAP) team is seeking a Mobile Clinical Supervisor & Mentoring Specialist who is dedicated and passionate about training and mentoring the addiction workforce and clinical supervisors within North Dakota. This position will provide clinical supervision and support to addiction counseling trainees throughout North Dakota, with an emphasis on rural, tribal, and underserved communities. They will also mentor and consult clinical supervisors and support the Training Academy for Addiction Professionals (TAAP) workforce development, training, and supervision initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical supervision and support to addiction counseling trainees through approved in-person and virtual formats, including travel to rural, tribal, and underserved communities.
- Supports the clinical development, competency, and professional growth of addiction counseling trainees.
- Provides mentorship, consultation, and professional development to registered clinical supervisors throughout North Dakota.
- Develops and facilitates training and educational activities related to clinical supervision and addiction counseling.
- Maintains compliance with applicable clinical supervision, licensure, ethical, and program requirements.
- Collaborates with TAAP leadership and program partners to support trainee placement, training, and clinical supervision.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation related to clinical supervision, mentoring, trainee development, and program activities.
- Supports statewide addiction counseling workforce development and program improvement.
- Performs other duties and participates in other activities as assigned to support TAAP programs, clinical supervision services, and workforce development initiatives.

Position Hours:
This position is Full-Time, with a hybrid work environment, and requires travel throughout the state of North Dakota.

- Current North Dakota licensure as a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC), or Licensed Master Addiction Counselor (LMAC), and registration with NDBACE as a clinical supervisor. (Required)
- Minimum of five years of experience providing clinical supervision to addiction counseling trainees. (Required)
- Experience providing direct addiction counseling services to individuals with substance use disorders (Required); experience mentoring, training, or providing professional development to clinical supervisors is preferred.
- Experience developing or facilitating professional education, training, or continuing education is preferred.
- Experience working with rural, tribal, or underserved communities and/or across multiple clinical or training sites is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, Canva, Adobe, and other computer programs; or willingness to learn.
- Willingness to continually learn about the TAAP training program, education pathways, and licensure requirements; maintaining knowledge and understanding as changes arise.
