Avotek, manufacturer of aviation maintenance training equipment, is looking to add a detail-oriented individual to our Purchasing team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys working on independent projects while also collaborating as part of a small team. Attention to detail and the ability to efficiently switch between tasks is essential.

Key tasks:

• Collect part quotes and requests for quotes
• Negotiate purchases of commercial products; maintain inventory of stock
• Prepare trainer kits for upcoming trainer builds
• Support manufacturing technicians during trainer production

NOTE: This position involves working in a warehouse where the temperatures can range from very hot to very cold, depending on the seasons. Aircraft parts and supplies being handled may be dirty and/or greasy.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience using Windows PCs and data entry/typing
• Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with very hot or very cold temperatures, depending on the season

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
