Human Resource (HR) Manager
Description

The HR Manager serves as both a strategic business partner and hands-on human resources leader, responsible for developing, implementing, and administering programs that support Vergent Products' people, culture, and business objectives. As a member of the Leadership Team, this position helps shape organizational strategy, fosters a high-performance and employee-centered culture, and ensures the company attracts, develops, and retains exceptional talent.


This role oversees all human resources functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, benefits administration, performance management, compensation administration, policy development, compliance, and organizational culture initiatives. While the HR Manager currently has no direct reports, they are expected to lead through influence, partnership, and collaboration across all levels of the organization.


SALARY: $85,000 - $95,000 DOE

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, supporting a positive, people-centered culture that promotes engagement, accountability, development, and retention.
  • Participate as a member of the Leadership Team, providing guidance on organizational, workforce, and employee-related matters.
  • Lead and execute all recruiting activities, including sourcing, interviewing, candidate selection, offer preparation, onboarding, and workforce planning.
  • Partner with managers to develop effective hiring strategies and maintain consistent recruiting and selection practices.
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain employee training, leadership development, onboarding, and performance management programs.
  • Support managers and employees through coaching, employee relations matters, performance discussions, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
  • Support employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, employee communications, COBRA administration, and vendor coordination.
  • Manage employee demographics for bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Administer leave programs including FMLA, Colorado FAMLI and ADA accommodations, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain personnel records, employee files, the employee handbook, HR policies, and related documentation in accordance with legal and company requirements.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims, injury reporting, unemployment claims, and other employment-related administrative processes.
  • Maintain employee training records and support compliance with quality system, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Compile, analyze, and report employee data to support Profit Sharing, workforce planning, and business decision-making.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain organizational resources including company organizational charts, employee directories, intranet content, and other employee communication tools.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
  • Experience leading recruiting, employee development, employee relations, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal and Colorado state employment laws and regulations.
