The Inbound / Outbound Clerk coordinates and documents the arrival, processing, reconciliation, and dispatch of inbound and outbound mail and freight. The position maintains accurate system records and paperwork, communicates with drivers and dock personnel, and helps ensure loads are assigned, processed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Check in truck drivers, verify Bill of Lading (BOLs) and supporting shipment documentation for accuracy.?
- Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisors to ensure inbound and outbound shipments are processed efficiently and accurately.?
- Maintain and update shipment information across multiple systems to ensure accurate and timely processing.?
- Review shipment details for discrepancies, missing information, or other issues that could delay warehouse processing.?
- Maintain shipment records, driver information, and documentation are entered accurately and consistently.?
- Prioritize and manage multiple drivers and shipments simultaneously in a fast paced warehouse environment.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.?

- Accurate manifest, postage, and shipment data entry.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Warehouse, transportation, mail-processing, shipping, receiving, or related administrative experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand bills of lading, manifests, postal paperwork, labels, and operating instructions.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills, including the ability to learn transportation, postage, and warehouse systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile records and identify missing or inconsistent information.
- Ability to communicate clearly with drivers, dock personnel, supervisors, and office teams.
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks in a high-volume operational environment.

Working Relationships
Works closely with warehouse leadership, dock personnel, drivers, office staff, and other operational teams to support safe, accurate, and timely movement of mail and freight.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Regularly works in a warehouse office, driver check-in, and loading-dock environment with noise, moving equipment, trailers, pedestrian traffic, and varying temperatures.
- Regular computer, keyboard, telephone, printer, and document-handling work is required.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and regularly walk between office and warehouse areas.
- Must be able to bend, reach, and handle files, labels, pouches, and shipment documentation.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through operational systems.
- Required personal protective equipment must be worn when entering designated warehouse or dock areas.
