Position Purpose:
We are looking for someone with a positive, energetic personality and a genuine passion for helping others with their fitness journey. The ideal candidate has strong communication and interpersonal skills, is reliable and committed to scheduled classes, and is comfortable confidently leading a group while creating an engaging and welcoming class experience.
Job Specific Competencies:
· Leads a safe, energetic, and engaging indoor cycling classes for participants with varying fitness levels and abilities.
· Create a motivating and inclusive environment where participants feel challenged, supported, and successful.
· Develop and deliver effective cycling workouts that incorporate appropriate intervals, resistance, cadence, endurance, and recovery.
· Provide clear cycling cues and demonstrate proper bike setup, positioning, technique, and resistance adjustments.
· Provide modifications and intensity options to accommodate beginners through more experienced cyclists.
· Select appropriate music that enhances the energy and flow of the class while maintaining a positive and professional environment.
· Monitor participants throughout class and promote safe and proper cycling techniques.
· Provide encouragement and motivation throughout the class.
· Maintain a clean and organized Cycle Studio and reports equipment or facility concerns promptly to the Group Fitness Manager.
· Communicate professionally and positively with members and co-workers.
· Creates a fun, energetic, and supportive Group Fitness community.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education, Experience, & Skills (Minimum Requirement):
Previous Group Fitness and/or Indoor Cycle experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider the right candidate with a strong fitness background and a willingness to become certified.
Licensure/Certification Requirement(s):
· Cycling Instructor Certification preferred (not required).
· CPR/AED certification required upon hire or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
