The HR Generalist supports and coordinates key Human Resources functions throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and staffing, new-hire onboarding, personnel records and HRIS administration, and employee engagement and retention. Working collaboratively with the HR Manager, supervisors, and department leadership, the HR Generalist helps ensure HR processes are timely, consistent, organized, and aligned with organizational policies and applicable requirements.


The HR Generalist assists in attracting and hiring qualified employees, coordinating onboarding and pre-employment requirements, maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, and supporting workforce retention efforts. This position is expected to demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, confidentiality, attention to detail, and a commitment to PCS's culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and service.


 

Recruitment & Staffing:

  • Assess the organization’s needs and resources, the associated markets, and develops effective recruitment strategies to fill open positions with the highest qualified talent available.
  • Maintain an applicant tracking system that tracks all vacancies, captures recruitment data and communicates to various stakeholders the status of various open positions.
  • Maintain and analyze various sourcing and recruitment data to inform process improvements and ensure return on investment for various sourcing and recruitment activities.
  • Identify, track, and establish benchmarks for meaningful sourcing and recruitment metrics for monthly tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws as well as contractual requirements in all recruitment and hiring practices.
  • Collaborate with various department managers to create and/or update job descriptions prior to posting all open position. Ensure job descriptions are consistent with PCS’s standards and human resources best practices and any revisions are communicated to various stakeholders in the organization.     Jonathan's Job Description
  • Coordinate recruitment activities for clinical, billing, scheduling, supervisory, and support positions.
  • Prepare and post job openings and coordinate candidate sourcing.
  • Review applications and conduct discovery interview.
  • Coordinate interviews with supervisors and hiring managers.
  • Prepare employment offers and new-hire documentation.
  • Maintain recruitment and applicant records in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Assist managers with developing and updating job postings.

New Hire Onboarding & Orientation:

  • Coordinate the complete onboarding process for new employees.
  • Coordinate background screening and other pre-employment processes required by policy.

Personnel Records and HR Information System (HRIS)

  • Maintain accurate & confidential employee personnel files.
  • Enter & maintain employee information in the HRIS/payroll system.
  • Maintain required retention schedules for HR records.

Employee Engagement & Retention:

  • Monitor turnover and retention trends and assist leadership with identifying opportunities for improvement.



Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant HR experience may be considered.
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience required.
  • The HR Generalist is expected to demonstrate commitment to confidentiality, HR-related compliance, professionalism, consistency, teamwork, and a culture of safety and accountability.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to effectively lead educational sessions in small group settings.
  • May require travel between office locations.
  • May occasionally require adjustment of work hours to support employee meetings or recruitment efforts.

Salary Description
$50,000 - $60,000
