 Job Title: Engagement Manager

Classification: Regular Full-Time, Exempt 


Primary Purpose

The Engagement Manager plays a key supporting role within the Development team, focused on event logistics, volunteer coordination, third-party fundraising, donor event experience and stewardship, and social media support. This position enables the Director of Development to concentrate on high-level revenue strategies—such as major gifts and corporate partnerships—by supporting the execution and logistics for regional signature and third party events. The Engagement Manager ensures seamless event execution, deepens community involvement, and drives revenue through third-party partnerships and local engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

Signature Event Support

  • Collaborate in the planning and day-of execution for  logistical aspects of all signature fundraising events.
  • Coordinate event operations, including vendor relations, run-of-show timelines, procurement tracking, auction item      coordination, and registration processes.
  • Recruit and oversee event-day volunteers.
  • Work closely with Executive Director and Development   Director on budget tracking and revenue growth.

Third-Party Event Ownership

  • Identify, cultivate, and support third-party fundraisers (e.g., community-initiated events, awareness campaigns).
  • Review and respond to third party event applications  and inquires.
  • Represent Ronald McDonald House at third-party events  and serve as the primary point of contact for hosts.
  • Own and track third-party event revenue goals; provide regular reporting on progress.

Volunteer Coordination 

  • Serve as the lead liaison for volunteers supporting  signature and third-party events.
  • Ensure all volunteers are trained, scheduled, and supported for a mission-driven experience.
  • Develop event-specific volunteer role descriptions  and logistics plans.

Communications & Social Media Support

  • Collaborate with Director of Development to create event communication plans and social media outreach regarding signature      events.
  • Create and schedule event-related and third-party  fundraising posts via social media platforms.
  • Coordinate with the Executive team to ensure   consistent branding and messaging.
  • Support distribution of newsletters, campaign  updates, and event communications.

Giving Society & Donor Stewardship Support

  • Assist in planning and execution of giving society   recognition events (such as the Grand Givers Celebration).
  • Provide donor stewardship support, particularly for   lower-level donors, through timely communications and engagement.

Leadership Board Coordination

  • Provide logistical and coordination support for  Leadership Board activities and meetings.
  • Support board engagement during key events and  internal celebrations.
  • Recruit for, Develop and Oversee Teen Board as relevant

McDonald’s Round Up Recognition

· Collaborate with local McDonald’s restaurants to promote the Round-Up for Ronald McDonald House initiative and stewarding local store managers to encourage and drive revenue through this program.

· Develop and implement strategies to raise awareness about the Round-Up for Ronald McDonald House program, increasing participation and support from the local community.


Key Qualifications

Experience Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising event coordination, or community engagement.
  • Demonstrated success in event execution, volunteer coordination, and/or third-party fundraising.
  • Experience in nonprofit communication or marketing   support is preferred.

Skills & Attributes

  • Proven ability to manage event logistics and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and community-oriented  mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with solid time management and organizational ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/Event Software (Greater Giving, Raiser’s Edge NXT, and Canva).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for events.

Work Environment

  • Office-based with expectation to be out in community as well.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods at events.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation  required.
