Are you an experienced RN who enjoys leading a nursing team and making a meaningful impact on resident care? We are looking for a Director of Nursing (DON) to provide clinical leadership and oversee nursing services at a skilled nursing facility in the Dresden, TN area.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on nursing leader who can support staff, maintain high standards of care, and help create a positive environment for both residents and employees.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and clinical direction to the nursing department
- Oversee daily nursing operations and resident care
- Support staffing, scheduling, and nursing department needs
- Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff
- Monitor clinical documentation, quality measures, and resident outcomes
- Promote compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- Work closely with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Address clinical concerns and help develop effective solutions
- Promote a culture centered on safety, teamwork, and quality resident care
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Previous skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care experience preferred
- DON, ADON, Nurse Manager, Unit Manager, or similar leadership experience is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and support a diverse nursing team
- Commitment to quality care and resident well-being
