The Role

This position requires a unique blend of operational leadership and aggressive sales drive. While you will oversee the shop floor, technicians, and repair quality, your primary focus will be on the front counter and out in the field. You will actively leverage our multi-regional reputation to pursue new fleet accounts, convert incoming diagnostic leads into paying jobs, and maximize the profitability of every bay.

Customer & Vendor Relations: Communicate repair timelines clearly with clients and source reliable parts vendors.

Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant shop environment.

Vendor & Inventory Management: Establish relationships with local parts distributors to ensure fast delivery times and optimal pricing.

Shop Operations: Manage daily workflows, schedule technicians, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintain strict margin controls on parts and labor.

What You Bring

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience, with at least 2 years in a lead, foreman, or management role.

Technical Skill: Advanced proficiency in heavy-duty diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and emissions/aftertreatment systems.

Certifications: ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) or master status preferred, but proven real-world experience takes priority.

Communication: Strong computer skills for digital work-order management and friendly communication with customers.

Driver’s License: Valid driver's license required (CDL Class A or B is a strong plus).

Competitive base salary of $80,000–$95,000 + performance incentives.

Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance packages.

Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.

Ongoing technical training and certification sponsorship.

A ground-floor opportunity to build and scale a premier diesel shop.

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of diesel repair operations, labor times, parts sourcing, and fleet maintenance demands.

Local Market Awareness: Familiarity with the Phoenix logistics and commercial transportation landscape is highly preferred.

Technician Background (Plus): Previous hands-on mechanic experience is a strong advantage, but the ability to sell work and manage people takes priority.

Tech-Savvy: Experience working with modern digital shop management software (SMS) and CRM systems.
