Audiologist (Au.D.)
Description

About the Role

Earlens is hiring a licensed Audiologist to join our clinical team in coastal New Jersey. This is an in-person, patient-facing role with a balanced mix of diagnostic audiology, hearing consultations, and hearing aid fittings across multiple manufacturers.

You will own the patient relationship from first evaluation through fitting, follow-up, and long-term care. The right candidate is clinically strong, comfortable counseling patients and families on treatment options, and motivated by outcomes rather than volume.

What You Will Do

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for adult patients, including pure-tone and speech audiometry, immittance, and otoacoustic emissions.

• Conduct hearing consultations: review results, explain findings in plain language, and recommend evidence-based treatment plans.

• Select, program, fit, and verify hearing aids from multiple manufacturers using real-ear measurement and validated outcome measures.

• Provide follow-up care, fine-tuning, troubleshooting, counseling, and aural rehabilitation to support long-term patient success.

• Make and document appropriate medical referrals when red-flag conditions are identified.

• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the practice management system in compliance with HIPAA, state, and payer requirements.

• Collaborate with front-office and patient care staff on scheduling, prior authorizations, and device logistics.

• Contribute to clinical quality, patient experience, and process improvement initiatives across the practice.

Requirements

What You Bring

• Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent clinical doctorate from an accredited program.

• Active New Jersey audiology license, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date.

• CCC-A (ASHA) or ABA board certification preferred.

• Experience fitting and programming hearing aids across major manufacturer platforms; real-ear measurement proficiency required.

• Strong counseling skills and the ability to build trust with patients and families.

• Comfort working independently in a clinic setting while contributing to a collaborative team.

• Proficiency with electronic health records or audiology practice management software; NOAH experience preferred.

• New graduates completing their fourth-year externship are encouraged to apply.
