Description

The Abusive Partner Intervention Program (APIP) Coordinator serves as a staff member at will of Domestic Violence Intervention Services (DVIS). The APIP Coordinator actively works toward the eradication of interpersonal violence through prevention work with perpetrators of violence and oversees all contract group facilitators.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Priority 1: Equity and Inclusion

Priority 2: Program Coordination

  • Assist Vice President of Clinical Services in curriculum development and enhancement
  • Supervise 1 full-time employee who provides APIP group facilitation at JusticeLink
  • Act as communication hub for all APIP clients and agency staff
  • Interview, onboard and manage APIP contract staff and intern/s
  • Review and approve all reports written by staff and contractors before the reports leave the agency

Priority 3: Client Care and Services

  • Maintain a high level of professional and ethical conduct towards clients, staff and the community.
  • Maintain and promote a philosophy of customer service consistent with the goals of DVIS. Be sensitive to client service issues and flexible enough to respond to the needs of individual clients.
  • Provide professional psycho-education curriculum to offenders of domestic violence who are recommended or court ordered to complete a APIP. Services include individual assessments, crisis intervention, and facilitating psycho-educational groups.
  • Complete 3 intake assessments per week
  • Lead 3 groups per week

Priority 4: Collaboration

 

  • Maintain strong collaboration with court personnel by providing weekly compliance reports
  • Attend Rapid Intervention Team meetings , when possible
  • Attend Tulsa County FDV and MDV dockets, when possible
  • Work with other DVIS departments and federal, state and local agencies regarding client matters.


Other Duties/Responsibilities: Advocate for appropriate services for APIP clients, including but not limited to linking clients to services for mental health, financial stability, parenting skills, substance use recovery, and other needs.


Supervisory Responsibilities: Coordinates implementation of APIP groups and the facilitators that lead them


Budgetary/Fiscal Responsibilities: Acts as a good steward of DVIS’s resources.


Responsibility for Confidentiality: The nature of this work requires safeguarding against the release of confidential and proprietary information of DVIS and its clients.


Contact with Others: This position will interact with managers at all levels and staff members across the organization, in addition to members of external organizations and the public.


Documentation: Maintains up-to-date and accurate files for each client according to agency guidelines and current professional standards.


Meetings and Training:  Hold weekly office hours meeting for APIP staff. Attend weekly clinical department staffing. Attend meetings and training as requested by supervisor. 

Requirements

Education: Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or another related mental health field required,


Experience: 1-2 years clinical experience required. Experience working within a nonprofit and directly with at-risk populations is preferred. or any equivalent combination of experience, lived experience, and/or special skills.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proven computer skills, including [Microsoft Office Suite, insert other] are necessary.

Knowledge of or experience working with social justice issues, specifically intimate partner and gender-based domestic and sexual violence, and racial, class, gender, sexual orientation issues, and intervention/prevention services strongly preferred. Requires dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion, excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work and tasks. Requires adaptability to produce and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-task and changing environment, with frequent pressure related to meeting deadlines and scheduling requirements. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.


Requires the ability to embrace, support, and integrate DVIS’s philosophies to promote and demonstrate DVIS’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and anti-racism.


Experience applying an equitable analysis to all duties to achieve organizational goals and demonstrate DVIS’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and anti-racism preferred.


Diplomacy in confronting personal, individual, and internal discrimination requiring sharing and discussing personal identities relative to the work environment is strongly preferred.


Requires sophisticated emotional intelligence and resiliency skills to lead and/or actively participate in advancing our work relative to racial, social, and economic justice.


Schedule Availability: 30 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Extended workdays as group coverage is needed.


Licenses/Certifications: Current or under supervision for LPC, LMFT, or LCSW or other related professional licensure in good standing and valid Oklahoma driver’s license required; current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
