Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Private Equity Associate for an established investment firm in San Francisco focused on consumer businesses. This is an on-site opportunity for a transaction-oriented professional with strong investment banking experience who wants to work closely with senior investors across new investments, transaction execution, and portfolio-company support.

The team invests across consumer products, brands, and related services and partners with management teams to support business growth.

COMPENSATION
• $100,000–$125,000 annual base salary

POSITION OVERVIEW
• Build financial models, valuation analyses, and investment return scenarios.
• Evaluate consumer trends, competitive positioning, brand strength, and growth opportunities.
• Support due diligence by reviewing company financials and coordinating with management teams and external advisers.
• Prepare investment committee materials and recommendations.
• Monitor portfolio-company performance.
• Support strategic initiatives across portfolio companies.
• Work closely with senior investors throughout the investment process.

Requirements
• 2+ years of investment banking experience REQUIRED
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills REQUIRED
• Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate investment opportunities REQUIRED
• Ability to assess consumer businesses, including market trends, competitive positioning, brand strength, and growth opportunities REQUIRED
• Strong written and verbal communication skills REQUIRED
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively within a lean investment team REQUIRED
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA REQUIRED

Preferred
• Private equity or other transaction-focused experience in addition to investment banking
• Demonstrated interest in consumer investing
• Experience evaluating consumer products, brands, or related services
