Position Overview
West Coast Trial Lawyers is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting high-volume accounting operations, and ensuring transactions are recorded and categorized efficiently across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience in a high-volume transaction environment, with a strong understanding of intercompany accounting, payroll journal entries, and departmental and class-based accounting within QuickBooks Online.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks Online (QBO) in a high-volume transaction environment
- Record, categorize, and reconcile a significant volume of financial transactions accurately and efficiently
- Utilize uploads and mass categorization tools to efficiently process and update transactions within QuickBooks Online
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions, including Due To/Due From accounts
- Prepare and post payroll journal entries and ensure appropriate allocation and reconciliation
- Maintain accurate accounting across multiple departments and classes within QuickBooks Online
- Perform bank and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed
- Maintain organized and complete supporting documentation for financial transactions
- Assist with month-end close activities and ensure financial records are accurate and current
- Partner with the Controller, CFO, and finance team on accounting initiatives and reporting needs
- Support additional bookkeeping and accounting functions as needed
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online in a high-volume transaction environment required
- Demonstrated experience using uploads and mass categorization within QuickBooks Online
- Strong experience recording and reconciling intercompany Due To/Due From transactions
- Experience preparing and posting payroll journal entries
- Experience working with multiple departments and classes within QuickBooks Online
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience using conditional formulas
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

- Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion
