Mechanic
Description

In this position you will perform various mechanical duties such as replace brakes, alternators, starters, and handle truck tires. Troubleshoot air and electrical systems. You will be able to read and write instructions, specifications, models, make, serial numbers, name parts to be ordered. Have knowledge pf suppliers for each piece of equipment. Be able to work for extended periods without supervision. Also, accept responsibility to make repairs in a clean and orderly manner. Able to keep records, keep the shop and equipment in a clean and working condition. Attend maintenance school when needed. 

Requirements


·  Need to be familiar with electric and air operated hand tools.

·  Must be able to obtain Commercial Driver’s License.

·  Be able to use electric welder and acetylene torch.

·  Furnish own hand tools.

·  Have a strong mechanical aptitude.

·  Troubleshoot and locate problems so repairs can be made.


Physical Requirements

·  Be in good physical condition.

·  Be able to lift up to 80 lbs and at least have 20/40 vision.

·  Be able to climb, walk, crawl and work in unusual position to complete work.

·  Must not be allergic to oil greases, fuels or fuels from it.
