POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of learning and development for employee career growth across the organization. As an integral part of the learning/development team, this position works directly with the business lines to ensure the training available to employees are directly aligned to our strategic plan and closing competency and skills gaps. This position will contribute to converting our current training to digital offerings, implementing new technology focused on asynchronous learning.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:
- Design learning roadmaps aligned with business strategy and current/future needed skills and competencies
- Effectively design and test course design on a variety of topics from technical to soft skills
- Maintain and update internal courses and programs
- Welcome new employees: ensure appropriate onboarding training is provided and assigned
- Provide timely reporting for assignment tracking
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead New Employee Orientation, working closely with HR leadership and HR team members to continually evolve content and align to employee experience initiatives
- Convert current offerings to digital on demand learning
- Collaborate with network of power users in business to ensure follow up and sustained learning
- Work with Subject Experts to plan for training needs accordingly
- Work with Retail Training team to assign/maintain curriculums and LMS offerings
- LMS administration and maintenance including setting up new users, assignment of training, tracking, reporting of assignment progress.
- Facilitate non-retail courses as needed
- Maintain and update custom courses and groups within the ABA LMS
- Create and maintain guidance/references for employees to follow employee driven functions within Paylocity
- Manage external webinar and conference attendance and other bank supported learning and track to budget, report as requested, and assist with development of annual training budget
- Execute and maintain internal Job Shadow Program
- Assist with Mentor Program Coordination and connected events
- Coordinate and partner with committee to host bi-annual Leadership Summit Event
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Associate’s degree in HR or business-related program or at least 3 years of equivalent experience in training preferred
- Learning & curriculum design experience – asynchronous (on demand) and classroom preferred
- Proficiency in design software- Articulate Storyline preferred
Preferred:
- Experience in presenting to large groups in person or virtually
- LMS Administration is a plus
- Banking experience preferred

- As generally applicable to F&M Bank and commensurate with these job functions, this job role includes accountabilities for following Bank policies and related procedures, as well as regulatory requirements involving federal and state laws, regulations, and related guidance.
- Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including accurate completion of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) when applicable, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and the USA PATRIOT Act. Adhere to Customer Identification, Customer Due Diligence and reporting of suspicious activities to the BSA Department.
