Job Description:
The FF(X)Training & Manpower Logistics Specialist supports the introduction, training, and integration of a new combat system for the FF(X) and LCS ship classes. This role focuses on early-stage acquisition, manpower and training logistics development, and creation of Navy-compliant training products required for fleet introduction. The Specialist will work closely with government program offices, system developers, training commands, and integrated product teams (IPTs) to deliver training requirements, curriculum, and supporting documentation.
This position requires prior Navy training development experience and the ability to rapidly deliver products for a system entering the fleet within the next year. The candidate must work independently, manage complex technical information, and coordinate across multiple commands.
Travel requirement: 25%. Security Clearance: SECRET (Required).
Primary Responsibilities
Develop Navy Training Process (NTP) Products
- Create and update Navy compliant training documentation for the new combat system.
- Prepare training requirements, TCCD components, milestone plans, and associated acquisition documentation.
- Develop curriculum for operator and maintainer pipelines.
Manpower & Training Logistics Support
- Evaluate system impacts on manpower and training pipelines.
- Support development and refinement of Preliminary Ship’s Manning Document (PSMD) inputs.
- Assist with planning documents, scheduling, and tracking training supportability.
Combat System Training Integration
- Coordinate with government teams to establish training labs, classrooms, and shipboard spaces.
- Work with system developers to align curriculum with system baselines and deployment timelines.
- Support fleet detailing timelines by delivering training products on schedule.
Program Coordination & IPT Participation
- Participate in training, combat system, ILS, and manpower IPTs.
- Coordinate fleet training requirements with government leads and training commands.
- Provide program status updates, maintain databases, and support system readiness tracking.
Technical Documentation Review
- Review and integrate system technical manuals, drawings, and engineering changes into training products.
- Manage distribution of technical documents required for curriculum development.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Maintain high clarity communication with government leadership, fleet representatives, and other technical codes.
- Track and close out training related action items.
- Prepare program updates, meeting minutes, and other required documentation.
Required Skills

- Advanced computer proficiency.
- Prior experience with Navy training development
Required Experience and Qualifications
- SECRET Clearance (required).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Navy training development, training implementation, or curriculum creation.
- Experience with Navy training documentation: NTP (to include the Training Systems Requirements Analysis), NTSP, TCCD, LPs, and related products.
- Demonstrated understanding of acquisition-phase training development.
- Experience with one or more combat systems or domains:
- SSDS Mk 2
- ATD (Advanced Training Domain)
- AEGIS
- C5I
- Weapon/sensor systems associated with FFG / FF(X) / LCS platforms
- Experience developing curriculum for system introduction or modernization programs.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Master Training Specialist or Training Support Agent certification.
- Knowledge, understanding, and experience with the current NAVEDTRA M-142 series instructions and products.
Security Clearance:
Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD Government- granted security clearance.
