Inventory Clerk II


PAY RANGE:

$19.00 - $24.00


HOURS:

Day shift - 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday- Friday.  Friday hours may vary depending on operational needs.  Hours worked over 40 are paid at time and a half


LOCATION:

Interprint, Inc. 101 Central Berkshire Blvd. Pittsfield, MA

We are close to Lee, MA; Westfield, MA; Troy, NY and Albany, NY

EMPLOYMENT:

We are looking for an Inventory Clerk to fill an opening in Pittsfield, MA.    This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels within our company. You will play a vital role in ensuring that inventory is properly tracked, organized, and available when needed.  


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

To encompass the following but not limited to:

  • Maintain accurate and up to date inventory records, including item descriptions, quantities, locations, and other relevant data using inventory management software or manual systems. 
  • Receive incoming work orders and enter them into the system. Close work orders upon completion by Maintenance staff.
  • Receive incoming shipments and compare them against purchase orders or delivery notes.  Inspect items for damage, verify quantities, and update inventory records accordingly. 
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory audits to verify stock levels and reconcile any discrepancies with recorded data. 
  • Regularly monitor inventory levels and stock movements to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Perform regular inventory reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies between physical stock counts and recorded quantities. 
  • Analyze inventory data, trends, and patterns to identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, or process improvement. 
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and enhance overall inventory management efficiency. 
  • Collaborate with purchasing departments to ensure timely ordering and replenishment of inventory items. 
  • Generate regular inventory reports and provide insights on inventory performance, trends, and key metrics to management or relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices related to inventory management.  
  • Organize and maintain inventory cage and shop storage areas.

  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with team members
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Experience managing parts inventory or similar function
  • Ability to research and source new or used parts
  • Ability to identify parts and components preferred
