A lot of families can't get to therapy on a Tuesday afternoon. School, work, practices and long commutes fill the week. Our Weekend Clinicians see clients when they can actually come in, in offices that would otherwise sit empty. Verge Therapy is a multi-office outpatient mental health practice in Braintree, Foxborough, Milton and Woburn. We serve children, teens, adults, couples and families, and we accept insurance because good care shouldn't depend on paying out of pocket.
What You'll Do
- Provide individual, child, adolescent and family therapy on Saturdays and Sundays within the scope of your Massachusetts license or other legally authorized clinical status.
- Carry a weekend-only caseload, with no weekday clients.
- Complete documentation and other required administrative/clinical work on time and to Verge's clinical standards.
- Participate in required clinical supervision, as applicable to your license or supervised practice status, and in weekend safety and coverage protocols
- Comply with Verge policies and applicable Massachusetts and federal requirements governing clinical practice, documentation, confidentiality, billing, mandated reporting and supervision.
Schedule and Expectations
- Saturdays and Sundays only.
- At least 10 client hours scheduled each week, with a target of 8 held billable hours.
- The position is non-exempt. Employees must accurately record all time worked. Routine documentation and administrative work associated with a clinical service is compensated through the Weekend Clinical Service Rate, and separately designated nonclinical work, such as required supervision, meetings and training, is compensated at the Nonclinical Work Rate, in accordance with applicable law and Verge policy.
- The 10 scheduled client hours and 8 held billable hour targets are scheduling expectations and not a guarantee of a particular number of paid hours or total weekly hours.
- A designated clinical supervisor and/or other appropriately qualified clinical leader will be available during weekend operations in accordance with the clinician’s licensure and supervision requirements.
Compensation
Weekend Clinical Service Rate: Pre-licensed - $66.11 per completed billable hour (BH)
Weekend Clinical Service Rate: Licensed- $74.11 per completed billable hour (BH)
Nonclinical Work Rate: $25.00 per hour
The Weekend Clinical Service Rate is a flat piece-rate amount paid for each completed billable hour (BH). It compensates both the client-facing clinical service and the routine documentation and administrative work ordinarily associated with that service.
Separately designated nonclinical work is paid at the Nonclinical Work Rate. Clinicians may receive cancellation/no-show compensation when a client is subject to a permissible cancellation/no show charge. Cancellation/no show charges are not represented to a payer as payment for a clinical service that was not provided.
Who We're Looking For
- A master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
- A Massachusetts clinical license, such as an LICSW, LMHC or LMFT, or eligibility to practice under supervision toward licensure.
- Experience with children, adolescents and families preferred. Spanish, Portuguese or Cape Verdean Creole fluency is a plus.
- Reliability. Families will plan their weekends around your schedule.
- Ability to comply with all applicable clinical documentation, confidentiality, supervision and billing requirements.
This role may be a good fit for clinicians seeking a focused two-day caseload or a part-time weekend practice.
