Description

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our ENT & Allergy specialty team. The ideal candidate is a dependable, patient-focused healthcare professional who is comfortable working in a busy specialty practice and providing both clinical and patient-support services.

The Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to provide excellent patient care, maintain efficient clinical flow, and ensure patients have a positive experience throughout their visit.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, medications, and other pertinent information.
  • Assist physicians and providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Perform clinical tasks within the scope of certification and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, supplies, and clinical equipment.
  • Obtain and properly document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and preparation as directed.
  • Administer medications and injections as permitted by training, certification, and applicable regulations.
  • Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications, treatments, procedures, and follow-up care.
  • Assist with ENT-specific procedures and clinical needs as trained.
  • Support allergy-related testing, treatments, and patient care as applicable to the practice.
  • Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to maintain an efficient patient flow.
  • Answer patient questions and communicate patient concerns to the appropriate provider.
  • Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments, referrals, testing, and other clinical needs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Keep exam rooms and clinical areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements

 

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
  • ENT, Allergy, Otolaryngology, or other specialty-office experience is a plus.
  • Strong clinical and patient-care skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and compassion when working with patients.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer systems preferred.
