Riverbend Community Mental Health is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Open Access to lead the development, growth, and day-to-day operations of one of the most critical components of our behavioral health system.
As the Director of Open Access, you will help shape how individuals experience Riverbend from their very first point of contact. You will lead a team and service model designed to make behavioral healthcare more welcoming, timely, coordinated, accessible, and responsive to individuals with a wide range of needs—including Any Mental Illness (AMI), Serious Mental Illness (SMI), substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the strategy, operations, and growth of Riverbend’s Open Access services.
- Ensure a welcoming, timely, and coordinated entry point into behavioral healthcare for individuals with diverse needs.
- Provide clinical, programmatic, and staff leadership, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team.
- Advance CCBHC-aligned services, including expanded support for adults with Any Mental Illness (AMI), SMI, substance use, and co-occurring conditions.
- Drive quality improvement, compliance, and performance outcomes using data and best practices.
- Oversee budgets, resources, staffing, and operational effectiveness.
- Partner across Riverbend programs to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Collaborate with organizational and community partners to expand access and improve behavioral health services.
Who You Are:
You’re a strategic, mission-driven behavioral health leader who brings strong clinical and operational leadership to complex community-based services. You have experience developing programs, leading teams, improving access, and using data to drive quality and outcomes.
You’re also someone who:

- Is comfortable balancing clinical quality, operational demands, fiscal responsibility, and compliance.

- Is passionate about making behavioral healthcare more accessible, responsive, and connected.
What You’ll Bring
- Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Family and Marriage Therapy is required.
- Current NH license or ability to be licensed, as a LMFT, LICSW or LCMHC is required.
- Five (5) years of experience in behavioral health service provision, including three (3) years supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
- Community mental health experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with behavioral health access, intake, assessment, outpatient treatment, program development, or care coordination is preferred.
- Knowledge of the CCBHC model and integrated behavioral health systems is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance with minimum coverage of 100,00/300,00 are essential.
