Job Summary
As the Purchasing Manager, you’ll lead vendor relations, purchasing operations, and inventory management across our iconic marine manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor negotiations and supply chain optimization. Responsibilities
Vendor Relations: Lead vendor relationship efforts. Oversee negotiations, secure optimal pricing, and review service agreements.
Purchasing Operations: Establish and enforce purchasing policies. Ensure all requisitions have proper approval. Adhere to environmental and safety regulations and comply with U.S. laws and corporate ethics.
Inventory: Manage inventory stock. Monitor market trends to anticipate inventory needs.
Financial Oversight: Monitor costs during blanket purchase order periods. Establish financial terms with vendors (account/credit).
Other: All duties as assigned.
Experience: Eight (8) to ten (10) years of purchasing experience with a focus in the marine industry. Proven experience in vendor negotiations and supply chain optimization.
Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field (preferred).
Qualifications
Strong understanding of inventory management systems and procurement software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiar with financial terms, blanket purchase orders, and cost monitoring.
Exceptional negotiation skills.
