Description

Work Schedule: Work 2 days, off 2 days; work 3 days, off 2 days; work 2 days; then off 3 days, and repeat. Shift schedule example: Week One: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. Week Two: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday. In other words, 48 hours one week, 36 hours the next.

Summary
Keeps the building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities other duties may be assigned.

  • Sweeping and mopping all areas of the plant
  • Collecting refuse and recyclables from all areas of the plant
  • Transports trash and recyclables to main collection area.
  • Operating floor scrubber on a periodic basis, including recharging responsibilities and keeping maintenance records
  • Operating an industrial vacuum to clean various areas of the production floor
  • Washes walls, ceilings, doors, lockers
  • Washes windows, sills, and door panels
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, and furniture
  • Cleaning all bathrooms and replenishing supplies
  • Stripping and waxing all needed floors
  • Cleaning break room, locker room, replenishing supplies
  • Daily routine cleaning of break room, locker room, all restrooms, main aisles as needed, maintain employee entrance and break area, and all front office areas
  • Cleaning displays in the facility as needed
  • Occasional driving to pick-up supplies.
  • Support 5S (sort, straighten, shine, standardize, sustain) philosophy
  • Keeps inventory of cleaning supplies, reorders as needed

Education and/or Experience

One year of related experience and/or training preferred


Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Able to perform basic addition and subtraction with or without a calculator

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a production and manufacturing facility as well as the office (note: window washing will require some time outside).

Employees are required to wear hair restraints, safety footwear, and comply with personal hygiene and personal protective equipment guidelines when in the production area.
