Position Summary:  

Work closely with floor staff, floor leadership, and MFG engineers to improve floor functions and efficiency.   


Position Responsibilities:  

  • Work Monday-Friday during day and use knowledge and software to complete assigned projects.    
  • Set up Kanban quantities for all blue bins out on the lines
  • Set up 5S type templates for all of the benches that include what should be there (tools, fixtures, etc.)
  • Analyze material flow to see if the floor layout is in need of a change and provide recommendations
  • Document fixtures that don't have documentation (Lift Engine final assembly, rope cutter) (if mechanical engineer)
  • Design new fixture for rope cutting that improves mistake-proofing (if mechanical engineer)
  • Lead Kaizen corner card completion effort
  • Other duties as assigned and evaluated closer to start date.  

Position Requirements (Knowledge & Experience):  

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a closely related field. Student approaching Junior year or above.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as descripted to you for the position

Salary Description
