Summary
365 is seeking a motivated Computer Science or Computer Engineering Co-Op to initially support our hardware team. The intern will help image and configure PCs, troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems, assist with technical projects, coordinate requests between Hardware and Customer Support, and help test or implement AI tools that improve team productivity. As the individual progresses through the program, they will move into roles in our QA, IT, Development, Project Management, or other departments to develop a well-rounded set of skills.
Key Responsibilities, Initial Assignment
- Image, configure, and deploy PCs, laptops, workstations, and related equipment in Windows and Linux environments.
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, network, and configuration issues.
- Support hardware diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, testing, peripheral setup, inventory, and equipment preparation.
- Field, triage, and coordinate requests between the hardware team and customer support team to assist with the customer RMA process.
- Gather issue details, reproduce reported errors, test returned equipment, document findings, and communicate status updates.
- Assist with projects involving hardware testing, process improvement, automation, technical documentation, and AI tool evaluation or rollout.
- Follow company IT, cybersecurity, privacy, and data handling procedures.
Growth and Development
- After initial rotations in the Hardware department supporting the activities above, you will move into roles with our QA, Development, or other departments to further build your skillset.
Qualifications
Required:
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Comfortable working with Windows systems and willing to learn or expand Linux-based skills and workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to document technical work clearly.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to relay technical information between teams.
Preferred:
- Experience or familiarity with Linux, including command-line usage, system navigation, package management, or troubleshooting.
- Experience building, repairing, upgrading, imaging, or diagnosing PCs or workstations.
- Familiarity with Windows installation, deployment, endpoint management, or device configuration tools.
- Experience with scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
- Exposure to ticketing systems, help desk workflows, customer support, RMA/warranty processes, or lab/engineering support.
