The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned customer accounts and territories, achieving sales and profitability objectives through SENKO’s interconnect and passive component solutions. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused approach to identifying growth opportunities, developing long-term relationships, and understanding physical connectivity products and technical requirements. As the primary commercial point of contact, the Sales Account Manager collaborates with customers, Inside Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to deliver effective solutions while ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving business objectives. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Understand company strategy and expectations, and seek a way to maximize the profitability in the regions or accounts assigned
  • Take ownership of the total sales cycle - From identifying opportunities and understanding customer requirements to proposing solutions, coordinating implementation, and evaluating results.
  • Manage and develop assigned accounts while identifying opportunities to expand business with existing customers and develop new accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other internal teams to coordinate technical solutions, quotations, product sampling, and customer requirements.
  • Take accountability for achieving territory sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability objectives.
  • Develop a strong understanding of SENKO's physical connectivity products, technical capabilities, and value proposition to effectively present solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information, sales opportunities, and forecasts in the company's CRM system.
  • Collaborate with other Sales Account Managers to develop shared accounts and opportunities across geographical territories.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans, establishing clear priorities, sales targets, and growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, technical curiosity, and the ability to independently manage priorities and resolve customer-related challenges.
  • Prepare and maintain customer meeting reports, action plans, and relevant commercial documentation.
  • Represent SENKO at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
  • Provide management with regular updates on sales performance, market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities.
  • Travel within the assigned territory to develop and maintain customer relationships (40–50% of the time).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in technical sales involving physical products or components.
  • 2–5 years of experience in technical sales involving physical products or components, preferably within the connectivity, telecommunications, electrical, or industrial sectors. Experience coordinating customer requirements and new product development activities is preferred. 
  •  Experience with physical fiber-optic products, components, or related hardware is a plus. 
  • Proven experience in direct sales, account management, territory development, and identifying growth opportunities within assigned accounts and territories.
  • Ability to travel 50% is required.
  • Proficient with MS Office. Knowledge of Net Suite is a plus.

Salary Description
$65,000 - $90,000 annually
