CAN Community Health is now hiring an Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO)

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Salary: $234,533 - $316,620 annually based on experience

What You’ll Do

This position provides expert medical and administrative knowledge and is responsible for partnering with the Chief Medical Officer in leading the organization’s medical services department (medical, dental, behavioral health, clinical research, prevention, and nursing). Reporting directly to the CMO, the Associate CMO works with the Medical Department to implement the overall vision for standard-of-care methodologies, provider support, and oversight of the organization's medical programs to meet patient needs and CAN Community Health’s grant-funded care requirements. The Associate CMO works closely with clinical staff and teams across departments to ensure medical services meet the highest standards of excellence and works closely with the Quality and Credentialling Departments to improve clinical performance and maintain compliance with all credentialing standards.

Requirements

Education/Professional:

  1. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  2. Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state(s).
  3. Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Infectious Disease, or another relevant specialty.
  4. Current DEA registration and eligibility to prescribe controlled substances.
  5. Basic Life Support Certification Required
  6. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible clinical practice experience. Substantial experience in HIV medicine and primary care.
  7. Minimum of three (3) years of physician leadership, medical management, or supervisory experience preferred.
  8. Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and risk management principles.
  9. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license.
