Position Summary
The AV/VTC Technician will provide technical and operational support to the customer for Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems, audiovisual equipment, video collaboration platforms, and related technologies. This position is responsible for the setup, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of VTC systems and conferences, including coordinating with customers and vendors to support equipment repairs, upgrades, and successful VTC events. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, supporting video collaboration platforms, desktop applications, laptops, mobile communication devices, and teleworking personnel as needed. The performance of the AV/VTC Technician position is key to RavenTek’s performance on the contract, and therefore RavenTek’s mission to support the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Video Teleconferencing equipment.
- Work with vendors on repair of equipment.
- Work with telecommunications vendors when provisioning services for mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop applications, including Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Professional, and other desk applications as deemed appropriate.
- Manage Video Teleconferencing (VTC) support for our domestic customers.
- Setup, configuration, and scheduling of VTC conferences.
- Manage and configure multiple video collaboration applications including Zoom for Government, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and other video collaboration platforms.
- Work closely with customers to ensure all VTC and associated equipment is operational and tested prior to an event.
- Work closely with VTC vendors on upgrading, configuring and replacement of equipment as required.
- Install, configure, and maintain bureau VTC systems and accessories.
- Support VTC conferences for all customers.
- Provide backup support for all makes and models of laptops, as well as inventory management of all mobile communication devices.
- Provide backup support to customers on problem resolution for mobile communications.
- Provide backup support for supporting teleworking personnel throughout the bureau on problem resolution and support.
- Provide hands-on installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and infrastructure.
- Physically install, remove, relocate, and replace IT hardware, including servers, network equipment, workstations, monitors, cabling, and related components.
- Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
- Monitor and respond to RavenTek email a minimum of 3 times per week.
- Complete required compliance training as assigned.

Knowledge and Critical Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, particularly with a customer focus.
Education & Work Experience
- Over 3 years’ experience supporting VTC equipment.
- Over 3 years’ experience providing user support for VTC conferences and events.
- Over 3 years’ experience working with multiple hardware vendors.
- Experience configuring and supporting Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with supporting Zoom for Government, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and other video collaboration platforms.
- Hands-on experience supporting desktop hardware, software, and mobile devices.
- Management and coordination experience with large, complex video/audio events.
- State Department specific experience supporting mobile communications and platforms is preferred.

Special Requirements
- Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI.
Work Environment
Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.
Physical Demands
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. The ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and climb will be required for this position. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format.
Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 40 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
