The Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician maintains the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of semi-automated warehouse and production equipment. This role performs preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance; diagnoses complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, and basic control-system issues; and supports equipment improvements. The Technician serves as a technical resource and coordinates spare-parts, vendor, and contractor activities in partnership with Maintenance Management.
• Follow all safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and Company policies; model the Company’s values and safety culture.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on semi-automated warehouse and production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, and basic control-system issues, including motors, drives, sensors, gearboxes, bearings, and related components.
• Troubleshoot basic PLC- and controls-related faults within the employee’s training and authorization; escalate programming or advanced controls issues as appropriate.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, equipment specifications, and work orders.
• Inspect equipment for wear, defects, and safety concerns; use precision measuring tools to align and verify equipment functionality.
• Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation for reliability tracking and audit readiness.
• Support equipment upgrades, modifications, installations, and continuous-improvement projects.
• Monitor and maintain spare-parts inventory; identify critical components and recommend replenishment needs.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, vendors, contractors, and internal maintenance resources for repairs, service, and upgrades.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and recommend actions to reduce recurring equipment failures and unplanned downtime.
• Communicate equipment status, safety concerns, and repair priorities to Maintenance Management and operating partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills & Abilities
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training, apprenticeship, or certification in industrial maintenance, industrial mechanics, millwright work, electromechanical technology, or a related field preferred.
• Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or similarly automated environment preferred.
• Experience maintaining industrial machinery, conveyors, semi-automated or automated systems, and production equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment specifications, and manuals.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, precision alignment, hand and power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Working knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, and basic industrial controls; PLC programming experience is not required unless specifically assigned.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize competing work, and respond to emergency callouts as needed.
• Demonstrated safety awareness and ability to follow lockout/tagout and other applicable safety requirements.
